Students who embrace giving back share $100,000

The Ontario Credit Union Foundation (OCUF) is thrilled to announce the selection of 87 exceptional students as winners of its esteemed Student Bursary Program.  The CU Succeed Youth Bursary provides invaluable financial support to students who demonstrate community leadership and require financial assistance to pursue quality education.  The CU Succeed Bursary empowers students to achieve their academic dreams and create a brighter future forward.

OCUF congratulates all the 2023 bursary recipients and wish them a successful school year.

Students were assessed by a review panel across four categories; community involvement, personal circumstances, letters of reference, and quality of their compelling essay or video submission. They were ranked numerically with top of the list individuals receiving bursaries of $3,000, the other candidates received amounts of $2,500, $2,000, $1,500 or $1,000 totaling $100,000.

This year we had 87 students receive bursaries who are members of the following credit unions: Alterna, Bay, Comtech Fire, ECU, Equity, FirstOntario, Health Care, IC Savings, Kawartha, Kingston Community, L.I.U.N.A., Mainstreet, Motor City Community, Northern, Northern Birch, Ontario Educational, OPPA, Oshawa Community, PACE – now Alterna, Parama, Pathwise, Resurrection, Southwest Regional,  Sudbury, Tandia, WFCU Credit Union, and Your Neighbourhood Credit Union.
