Colleen is in her third year Honours Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a 2016 Youth Bursary recipient and a member of PACE CU.
Colleen keeps busy by giving back to her community. For four years, she ran an art club at Whitchurch-Highlands Public School. The teachers were concerned with academics and she saw a need for children to express themselves. The parent/teacher association gave her an annual budget for supplies for holidays such as Mother’s and Father’s Day, Christmas and Easter.
Fast forward to today, and you fill find she currently teaches an adult art group in her community. She is also a supporter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Association where she participates in fundraisers both municipally and provincially. She has undertaken several freelance jobs WhiStle radio, a community radio station in Stouffville. These include flyers, logos, t-shirts, signage, web design, and advertisements.
Colleen is very focused on pursuing a career involving economics. At this time, she is not sure if that will be in business or perhaps teaching economics.
