Adam Kirilo Appointed Board Chair of Ontario Credit Union Foundation

Hamilton, ON, [May 25, 2026] – The Ontario Credit Union Foundation (OCUF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Kirilo as its new Board Chair. Adam currently serves as Vice President, Finance and Information Security at Luminus Financial, bringing nearly two decades of experience within the credit union system, along with a strong commitment to collaboration, innovation, and community impact.

Adam’s journey within the credit union movement began in 2006 when he joined the Audit Committee for Food Family Credit Union. He later became Chair of the Board, where he played an instrumental role in leading merger discussions that ultimately saw Food Family Credit Union join Luminus Financial in 2011. His leadership and strategic vision helped guide the organization through a significant period of transformation and growth. In 2014, Adam stepped down from the Board to join the Senior Management Team at Luminus Financial, fulfilling what he describes as the opportunity to work for his credit union every day.

A Chartered Professional Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, Adam has led several impactful initiatives throughout his career, including the integration of the enterprise content management system Laserfiche, which contributed to Luminus Financial earning a Run Smarter Award for Best Human Resources Initiative at the 2017 Laserfiche Empower Conference. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adam has dedicated time to community involvement through minor sports organizations and enjoys supporting his five children in their pursuits of joy.

Adam’s appointment as Board Chair reflects his longstanding dedication to cooperative values and his passion for supporting communities across Ontario. “I am honoured to step into the role of Chair of OCUF and continue building on the strong foundation that has been created,” said Adam. “The work OCUF does to support youth education and strengthen communities is incredibly important, and I look forward to working alongside the Board, staff, and Ontario credit unions to further expand our impact.”

As Board Chair, Adam will help guide OCUF as it continues to strengthen partnerships across the credit union system and expand opportunities for youth through education, financial literacy, and bursary programs. His leadership is expected to support the Foundation’s continued growth and commitment to community development throughout Ontario.

“We are excited to welcome Adam Kirilo as the new Board Chair of OCUF,” said Rhonda Taylor, Vice Chair of the OCUF. “Adam’s extensive experience within the credit union system, combined with his collaborative and thoughtful leadership style, will be invaluable as we continue advancing our mission and supporting youth across the province.”
